Valid URL Builder for Google Analytics FAQs
How much does it cost?
This version of the tool is free.
Is the Valid URL Builder a web application or do I need to install it on my computer?
Neither. It’s an Excel 2007 file that uses formulas and macros to work the magic.
How is the Valid URL Builder different than Google’s own URL Builder?
Our free, Excel-based tool offers two primary advantages over Google’s form-based URL Builder. Our tool allows you to create multiple tracking URLs at the same time. Our tool will also confirm that the resulting tracking URL is a valid link.
Can I use the Valid URL Builder to track campaigns in other web analytics tools?
Not yet. This version uses Google Analytics campaign parameters, so it will only work with Google Analytics. However, Stratigent is working on other versions of the Valid URL Builder.
Can I upload the tracking URLs directly to Google Analytics?
Not in this free version. Contact us for information about our more robust campaign manager that uses the Google Analytics API.
Who can I contact for support?
First, confirm that you’re using Excel 2007 and that you have enabled macros. If that doesn’t solve the problem: VUB@googleanalyticssupport.com
How can I submit suggestions for future enhancements?
